Disclaimer
MoryAudio is open infrastructure operated under a "minimal intervention" model. This disclaimer is part of the Terms of Service and clarifies what MoryAudio explicitly does not guarantee.
1. No editorial curation
MoryAudio does not curate, recommend, feature, rank, or pick "editor's choices". All discovery surfaces (Listen Now, Charts, Genres, Search, Browse) order content by mechanical signal: chronology, total play count, alphabetical, or user-selected sort. There is no human or algorithmic editorial layer.
2. No revenue guarantee
Royalties are distributed by smart contracts on Polygon. MoryAudio does not custody payments, set rates, adjust amounts, or guarantee any outcome. Streams may earn 0 MORY if no listeners pay, and that is the expected behaviour of the system.
3. No content moderation guarantee
Automated tooling (fingerprint match, AI detection) operates 24/7 but does not catch every violation. Verified DMCA notices act on a 24-hour target. MoryAudio is not a content moderator — we operate the conduit. Listeners and rights holders are encouraged to use the report form.
4. No tax, legal, or financial advice
Royalty income, MORY token holdings, NFT mints — all may have tax and legal consequences in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for compliance. MoryAudio provides no tax forms, K-1s, or audit support.
5. No license clearance
MoryAudio does not clear samples, mechanical licenses, sync licenses, publishing rights, or PRO registrations on your behalf. The artist is responsible for obtaining these before publishing. Cover songs, samples, interpolations, and recordings of others' performances all require prior clearance.
6. No DSP distribution guarantee
Phase B onwards may surface optional FUGA-mediated DSP distribution (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music). Acceptance is at the DSP's sole discretion. MoryAudio cannot guarantee acceptance, retention, or the correctness of DSP-side analytics.
7. Token volatility
MoryToken (MORY) is a utility token traded on public markets. Its price may rise or fall significantly. Royalty earnings denominated in MORY vary in fiat-equivalent value. Past performance is not indicative of future returns.
8. Service availability
The Service is provided on an "as is" / "as available" basis with no uptime guarantees. Maintenance windows + emergency rollouts are announced when feasible.
9. Discontinuation
MoryAudio reserves the right to discontinue any feature or the entire Service. On-chain components (TrackRegistry, ArtistRegistry, HierarchicalRoyaltySplitter) are autonomous Ethereum-virtual-machine contracts and continue running independently of MoryAudio's web infrastructure.
